All ethically sourced lumber is hand selected with three considerations: resonance, natural beauty, and finally, waste potential. 95% of boards do not pass the resonance test. If it doesn't sound like a drum in raw form, it is rejected. Proudly made in Canada.
Proprietary processes allow for each joint between staves to be cut simultaneously, yielding a perfect joint. Interlocked with alternating species, slot and tongue joints reinforce and provide a stunning visual effect on the bearing edges. Tung oil finish inside and out, with polyurethane or lacquer
exterior protection.
Base models come with cast hoops, brass lugs, Indé throw offs, PureSound snare wires and Remo drum heads.
Shell only sales welcome.
Base models in 6.5" X 14" and 5.5" x 14". Custom configurations available. Shell thickness up to 24mm. 45 degree bearing edges.
Paduk, white oak, black walnut and maple. Custom requests welcome.
Each carefully handcrafted, finished and assembled in my workshop. Allow 6 weeks for custom requests.
Cast rims, brass lugs, Indé throwoffs in chrome, black nickel and brass coatings. Evans PureSound 24 strand snare wires are standard, but can accommodate up to 40.
Over 8 days, tung oil is applied in 3 coats. Polurathane or laquer is then applied to the exterior over the final 10 days before final assembly.
If you have specific hardware, wood species, or dimension requests, connect and lets make that dream drum a reality.
All base models fitted with Indé throwoffs from Independent Drum Labs.
"Good enough, is never good enough"
When three passions collide, this is the result. As a lifelong drummer I spent my career in an engineering related field while dreaming of retiring to pursue my passion for woodworking. Today this dream has become my reality. This is a one person production line where I am personally committed to excellence at every step, from initial lumber selection to the final finish and assembly.
Drums are produced in small batches driven by an artisan mindset, not mass production. Quality is never compromised.
